Pedigrees
This is an example of a nice, clear photo, which we would be happy to put on the pedigree.
This photo is not clear and not recent. We would prefer not to include this on the pedigree.
At BCF NPO you can request your kittens pedigree, submit the request before the kittens reach the age of 4 months.
Make sure you include the complete, clearly filled out pedigree request, along with mating service and clear, complete copies of both parents and any additional documents (see below).
Then send it to BCF NPO - Rode Kruisstraat 3 - 2850 Boom.
You can also request your pedigree through the site. This is how errors are prevented when data is transferred. Then send copies of both parents (and other documents) as an attachment.
If you have a good scanner, the request can also be sent by email. Include the detail stated on the pedigree request in the email (your details, date of birth of litter, names, colours and breeds of the kittens and any additional information (see below), add the copies of both parents (and any other documents) as an attachment.
Send everything (in more than one email if necessary) to stamboek@bcfvzw.be the studbook.
Please note pedigrees will only be provided for permitted crossbreeds. For all other crossbreeds or for incomplete documentation (at least 3 generations) proof of origin will be provided.
The pedigrees will be drawn up as soon as possible, and sent once payment has been received.
In some cases such as just before a BCF cat show or if we are on holiday, there may be a slight delay.
Included with the pedigree are proof of ownerships. You will fill these out and give them to the new owner. These will not be sent back to the association.
If the new owner sells or places the cat again, then 2 further new addresses can be entered on the back. Proof of ownership will only be returned to the association after the third time at which point a new proof of ownership will be sent.
The person who has proof of ownership in their name is the owner as far as the association is concerned and can act as such. If no proof of ownership exists, the owner of the pedigree will be regarded as the owner. This will then be checked via the breeder where possible.
Since the beginning of 2011 there are new ownership certificates and only one new owner can be entered. A new one can be applied for at a cost of € 5.
Everyone makes mistake. If a new pedigree needs to be created as a result of your error it will be at a cost of €14.
If we have made a mistake, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will send you an improved copy free of charge.
If you’d like the entry "Not for breeding” on the pedigree, you can state this on the pedigree request.
If the kittens are chipped and you enter the chip numbers with the request, the chip number will appear on the pedigree.
If the parents have been tested for HCM - PKD - PRA - HD - PAT - CIN - PKDEF - BAER and others, you can test copies of the uploading test via the site. The results come (on the back) from the st Bäumen.
India's grandparents, great grandparents etc. have been tested can be viewed via the QR code on the st Bäumen. The results can be obtained by new Owners or queried.
Any results given from always remain with this cat's data and can be used for breed improvement or to generate statistics.
